We here at Canine Coaching Institute feel it's very important to give back to the community. We have started a few dog centered community programs that we hope to see grow in the coming years. If you would like to participate in these programs in any way, please let us know. We are always in the market for more help with these programs. If you would like more information, please contact us today!
Canine Coaching Institute has several "on staff" therapy dogs who love going out into the community to provide "Fur Therapy" to others. If you would like for our therapy dogs to visit your business, school, hospital, library, or any other location, click below for more info. Alternatively, if you have a dog you would like to join our ranks as a Canine Coaching Institute Therapy Dog, please contact us today and/or click below to get started!
Our K-9 for Kids program is designed to help teens learn the skills of confidence and leadership through dog handling and training. This program is brand new and still in the early stages of development but if you would like to help please let us know. If you would like to have us come and give a presentation/demonstration with a hands on time at the end for your teens, we can arrange that as well. Please click below to learn more.
We love our rescue dogs! Thank you to those of you who chose to rescue and foster. For all rescue and foster dogs we offer a 20% discount on both Group Classes and Private Training packages. Unfortunately we do not have a way for the customer to directly apply the discount online at this time but the process is still easy! Simply send us proof of adoption (receipt, transfer of ownership, etc.) via email along with what you would like to register for and we will send you an invoice with the 20% discount reflected. Once the invoice is paid your time slot or place in class will be reserved!
At Canine Coaching Institute, LLC we are force, pain, fear and dominance free which means that we do not use tools or methods that inflict physical or psychological pain or discomfort on a dog. Instead we focus on positive reinforcement of desired behaviors using rewards such as treats, praise and toys. This lays a foundation for trust between the handler and the dog and will help promote a spirit of cooperation in the relationship. We offer private in-home training, group classes, minor to moderate behavioral training and specialty training such as therapy and service dog training. We pride ourselves in being flexible trainers that can find ways to work with practically any type of dog.
