Refund Policy
Classes - We have a limited number of spaces available in each our classes to maintain quality in our training. When you register for a class you are reserving one of these spaces. Payment for each class is due at the time of registration to reserve your spot. If you must withdraw from class we require a minimum of 3 days notification via phone or email before the start date of the class for any type of class transfer or refund. A refund may be given minus a 20% processing fee. Unfortunately, once a class has begun we are unable to provide any refunds. Withdrawals from class must be made in writing in an email to contact@caninecoachinginstitute.com. If, during the course of your class, your dog must withdraw due to an injury or illness you will receive a 50% discount towards a future class. If we must cancel a class you will receive a full refund. Please, carefully consider your dedication, schedule, and the time commitment before booking a class.
Private Training - All sales are final with our Private Training Packages. No refunds are issued except in the instances outlined below. When you schedule a one hour private session you are actually booking three hours of our trainer's time as we allow an hour before and an hour after sessions to allow for time to make notes from the previous session and prepare for the next one as well as for travel time. So when a session is cancelled on short notice, that is actually three hours of the trainer's time that is being used up without compensation. Because of this, we have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 48 hours of your training session time slot, we regretfully cannot refund your session and it will be forfeited. We do, however, understand that sometimes last minute emergencies come up. Exceptions to this policy will be made at the discretion of your trainer. If you need to reschedule your session before the 48 hour mark you may contact us or you may do so through the link in your appointment confirmation email. For last minute cancellations within the 48 hours please email (contact@caninecoachinginstitute.com) or call us at 1 (414) 207-9533 to cancel your session. Our trainers do their absolute best to make every appointment but, like everyone, they are not perfect and occasionally have emergencies or scheduling errors come up. In this case, if you are contacted within 24 hours of your appointment time you will be entitled to your choice of a refund for the ONE HOUR cancelled session or a makeup session on an alternative day. Sessions rescheduled by a trainer more than 24 hours in advance will be eligible for a makeup session but not a refund.
Rescheduling/Makeups
Classes - All classes are scheduled for a certain day of the week as shown on the booking site. Transfer requests to different courses must be made at least 3 days in advance of the class start date. Make up classes for missed classes will be considered on a case by case basis. If the teacher of a class must cancel class at the last minute due to an emergency and there is not a substitute available then you will receive the option of a refund for that one session or scheduling a makeup session. If a class absolutely must be cancelled due to bad weather the class will either be extended by one week or a makeup class for that week will be scheduled.
Private Training - Please see Refund Policy above. If a private training session is cancelled due to inclement weather as determined by the trainer it will be rescheduled on an alternative day.
Low Enrollment Policy
Some of our classes have a minimum enrollment requirement in order to be able to run. If enrollment for one of those classes is low we will contact you two or three days before the class is supposed to begin to let you know it will either be postponed or cancelled. If the class is cancelled due to low enrollment we will offer you a full refund or transfer to a new class.
Health and Vaccine Requirements
All class participants must bring with them to their first day of each class their most recent clean bill of health from their veterinarian. All dogs must have proof of a minimum of their rabies vaccine and a clear fecal test within the last year. They must also be clean of external parasites such as fleas and mites and must not show signs of kennel cough. If these things are not in order on the first day of class we reserve the right to refuse admittance until they are in order. Please be sure to keep your dog's profile updated in your account with your dog's vaccine records. This will ensure the records check on the first day of each class goes quickly and smoothly.

We do not allow tools that inflict pain as a form of correction. This includes prong collars, choke collars and shock collars. However, even something as seemingly harmless as a flat collar can be used inappropriately and cause damage to a dog. If we see any tool being used incorrectly with potential to injure the dog and the handler does not make effort to fix their handling skills, that tool for that handler will no longer be permitted in class and the handler will be suggested an alternative tool that is safer for the handler and dog.
